§ 91.10 MINIMUM CONNECTIONS.
   Any commercial structure required to be submitted for approval of plans to the state on all newly constructed commercial buildings equipped with sprinkler systems shall have Fire Department connections consisting of five-inch Stortz connections. All Fire Department connections shall be within 100 feet or less from a fire hydrant connected to the city water distribution system. The required distance may be attained by installing a remote fire connection proximately located to the hydrant. Knox boxes or similar devices shall be required on all new commercial construction. Any Fire Department connection elevated more than 24-inches above grade shall have a connection attached to an elbow angled downward 30 to 45 degrees to reduce the strain on a fire hose.
