§ 32.039 OVERTIME COMPENSATION.
   The city will pay overtime for additional duties to members of the Police Department, authorized by the Chief of Police, the Safety and Service Director, or the Mayor, at one and one-half times the regular pay rate of the members of the Police Department for services specifically detailed above their regular work week. No overtime will be assigned by the Chief of Police until he or she has advised the Safety and Service Director of the need therefor, except in times of emergency. The Police Chief shall not be paid overtime compensation.
