§ 31.047 OFFICE OF VICTIMS SERVICES.
   (A)   There is hereby established in the Legal Department an Office of Victims Services which shall be responsible for the administration of the requirements under R.C. Chapter 2930 and the Victims of Crime Compensation law, being R.C. §§ 2743.51 to 2743.72, as they pertain to the city and the prosecutions in the Municipal Court. Compensation shall be approved by the Law Director.
   (B)   (1)   The Law Director is authorized to employ a person whose responsibility shall be such duties as the Director may require including maintaining contact with victims of crime, providing information to victims on court procedure and compensation to victims, and keeping an index of offenders and victims.
      (2)   This employee shall be an appointive position to serve at the pleasure of the Director and not subject to Civil Service requirements.
   (C)   The Law Director may utilize his or her current appropriations for professional services to pay the authorized employees.
