§ 51.080 MULTIPLE-FAMILY DWELLINGS - SEPARATE METERING.
   Water service furnished to multiple-family dwellings shall be charged to the record title property owner thereof, who shall be liable therefor, unless and to the extent that separate water meters for each dwelling unit are installed. This section applies to all new construction, and to repair and replacement of existing service lines should they require replacement, to the curb. Separate curb stops shall be installed for each water meter identified in this section. The record title property owner of the multiple-family dwelling units remains responsible for delinquent charges as assessed under § 51.079(E) even if separately metered, as per agreement signed by the property owner prior to the establishment of service.
