After a water service line connecting a house or building to a water main or another water line is laid and before it is covered or used, the service line shall be inspected and approved by the Safety and Service Director or designee. All customer service lines and taps shall be from the nearest water main to the property being serviced. The fee for inspecting the water line shall be $30 per line.
