§ 50.041 GUIDELINES FOR THE COMPROMISE OF SEWER CHARGES.
   (A)   The Utilities Committee of Council, upon recommendation of the Safety and Service Director, may compound, compromise, and settle disputed sewer charges to customers of the city.
   (B)   In compromising, compounding, and settling such charges, the Committee may consider the following:
      (1)   The nature and duration of any leaks in the water lines serving the customer;
      (2)   The ability of the customer to view and evaluate any leaks found in the system;
      (3)   The previous actions of the city and its employees in causing or contributing to the water loss or discovery of the leak;
      (4)   The liability of third persons for the water loss, who are not a sewer customer of the city; and
      (5)   The promptness and cooperation of the customer in reporting and correcting defects.
