§ 30.002 COUNCIL CHAMBER.
   The Council Chamber shall be under the supervision and control of the Safety and Service Director when the City Council is not in session. Except as herein provided, it shall be used solely by the Council and its committees for the transaction of public business of the city. If not required for this use, the Safety and Service Director may permit its use by agencies of the federal, state, or city governments for the transaction of public business. On special occasions the Safety and Service Director may grant use of the Council Chamber to any local civic organization. Application for use must be made to the Safety and Service Director in the manner prescribed by the Safety and Service Director. Any permission so granted may be cancelled or revoked by the Safety and Service Director forthwith, where necessary for the protection of city property, the preservation of order, or other sufficient reason.
