§ 37.14 PUBLIC OFFICIAL OR EMPLOYEE RESTRICTIONS.
   (A)   During the period of his or her employment or service and for two years thereafter, no public official or employee shall disclose or use, without proper authorization of public record, any information acquired by him or her in the course of his or her official duties which has been clearly designated to him or her as confidential.
   (B)   No person shall disclose or use for his or her personal profit any information knowing it to be acquired from a public official or employee who is in violation of division (A) of this section.
   (C)   This confidential designation must be warranted because of the status of the proceedings or the circumstances under which the information was received and preserving its confidentiality is necessary to the proper conduct of government business, or where the confidential designation is provided by law.
