(a) Section 1 of Ord. 996, as it amended multiple ordinances, is hereby amended to read as follows.
(1) Residential rates.

Next | 800 kWh or less | @ | 0.126 per kWh |
Over | 1,000 kWh or less | @ | 0.125 per kWh |

(b) Upon a vote of the majority of the City Council, the surcharge of $0.006 per kwh may be added on a month-by-month basis.
(c) The rates for electrical power identified above shall be effective for all meter readings and billings after March 1, 2016, and after publication of this section.
