Utility deposits are no longer required to establish utility service with the city. The city does, however, require a connect fee of $50 each time service is connected. This connect fee will not apply to landlords changing the owner of utility service to his/her/its name following a vacancy but will apply to connections from the landlord to a new tenant. All deposits currently held by the city shall be returned to the customer as a credit on the following monthly billing.
