For the purpose of this article, the city is hereby divided into north and south division and Main Street is hereby declared to be the dividing line. The numbering to be given any house or building fronting on any street running north and south shall be ascertained by commencing at Main Street with number 101 and numbering them north and south allowing 24 numbers for each 300 foot block and fraction of a block and placing even numbers on the east side of the street and the odd numbers on the west side of the street; north of Main Street and south of Main Street. The first block to run from 101 to 124, inclusive, the second block to run from 201 to 224, inclusive, and the like. The numbering to be given any house or building fronting on any street running east and west shall be ascertained by commencing at Pomeroy Avenue at No. 101 and then east allowing 24 numbers for each 300 foot block or fraction thereof; placing the even numbers on the north side of the street and the odd numbers on the south side of the street.
