131.08 CITY JAIL; USE BY OTHER GOVERNMENTAL AGENCIES.

   (a)   There is hereby established a charge of one hundred dollars ($100.00) per day for the use of the City Jail facilities for the housing of prisoners by other government entities.

   (b)   The City Jail shall be made available to other governmental entities on an emergency or temporary basis only and shall not be used by such other entities on a contract or long-term basis.

   (c)   The Chief of Police or any administrative personnel of the Police Department assigned by him shall keep an accurate record of the use made of the City jail facilities by any other governmental entity and shall promptly advise the Director of Finance of the amount due therefor.

   (d)   The Director of Finance shall, promptly upon receipt of notice of the use of the City Jail and the amount to be charged, issue an invoice to the governmental entity using the facility. The funds received therefrom shall be deposited into the General Fund.
