127.02 DIRECTOR'S DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITY.

   (a)    The Service Director shall perform the following duties:

      (1)    Supervise the improvement and repair of all Municipal streets, avenues, lands, wards, market houses, bridges, sidewalks, sewers, drains, ditches, culverts, streams and watercourses.

      (2)    Supervise the lighting, sprinkling and cleaning of all public places.

      (3)    Supervise the maintenance and mechanical repair of all Municipally owned vehicles, with the exception of Fire Department vehicles.

   The maintenance of Municipal buildings shall not be included in the duties of the Service Director.

   (b)    The Service Director shall be responsible to the Mayor for the performance of his duties and any purchases of labor or materials shall be submitted on proper requisition forms to the Mayor or other authorizing official for signature and a copy thereof shall be submitted to the Safety-Service Committee.
