123.03 PAYMENT OF EXAMINATION COSTS OF SEX OFFENSE VICTIMS.

   (a)    Payment is hereby authorized for the costs incurred by a hospital or emergency facility, not otherwise compensated by insurance, for the conducting of a routine examination of a victim of rape, sexual battery, corruption of a minor, gross sexual imposition or felonious sexual penetration, conducted in preparation for the prosecution of such offense.

   (b)    Such moneys are to be paid upon submission of an invoice from the hospital or emergency facility, and shall be approved by the Chief of Police.
