110.01 REIMBURSEMENT FOR LITIGATION AND JUDGMENT; CRIMINAL ACTION EXCEPTED.

   (a)    It is hereby declared to be the policy of the City of Highland Heights to reimburse elected officials of the Municipality for their costs and expenses of litigation and to pay any judgment against such elected officials for claims made which relate to the performance of their elected office when such cost, expenses or judgment is not otherwise covered by insurance provided, however, that such expenditure shall not exceed one hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) per person, per occurrence.

   (b)    The provisions of this section shall not apply to the defense of any criminal action brought against any elected official.
