SECTION 5.02 QUALIFICATIONS.

No persons shall be eligible to be Mayor unless they shall have been continuously residents for not less than three (3) years immediately prior to election or appointment, and a qualified elector of the Municipality.

During his term of office he shall continue to be a resident and qualified elector. Except as provided by this Charter, he shall not be an employee of the Municipality and, to the extent provided by general law, he shall not directly or indirectly be interested in the profits or emoluments of any contract, job, work or service with or for the Municipality.
