131.12 MAXIMUM HIRING AGE FOR ORIGINAL APPOINTMENT.

   (a)   No person shall be eligible to receive an original appointment to the Highland Heights Police Department on or after the person’s forty-first birthday, and no person can be declared disqualified as over age prior to that time.

   (b)   As set forth in this section, “original appointment” means the police department candidate has completed all the necessary steps for hiring as required by the City and/or its Civil Service Commission and the candidate has an actual hire date prior to becoming forty-one years of age.

   (c)   Any and all ordinance(s) or Civil Service Commission Rule(s) in conflict with the express provision of this section are hereby superseded.
