733.18 TIME LIMITATION.
   Any permit granted by Council, shall remain valid for a period of one year from the date of its issuance. If actual drilling of the well is not initiated within the one year period, from the date of issuance, the permit shall automatically expire and terminate without further action of Council or notification of grantee, provided, however, that the grantee may apply to Council for an extension not to exceed three (3) months upon the payment of a nonrefundable fee of five hundred dollars ($500.00) which shall be utilized by the City in processing the extension request. The cessation of the drilling operation for six months, without extension, shall operate to terminate and cancel the permit, and the well shall be deemed abandoned. Thereafter, no person shall drill or operate any such well within the City without issuance of another permit. (Ord. 16-2000. Passed 9-26-00.)
