1501.26 PERMITS AND INSPECTION FEES REQUIRED.
   Except for those permits which are expressly issued by the State Fire Marshall, the Fire Chief shall issue all permits and charge the following fees:
   (a)   New Construction.
 
(1)   Plan review and first inspection:

(2)   Each additional follow up inspection:

   (b)   Existing Buildings.
 
(1)   Fire safety and inspection fee
A.   Occupancies under 12,000 sq. ft.

B.   Occupancies 12,000 sq. ft. but under 40,000 sq. ft.

C.   Occupancies 40,000 sq. ft. and above
100.00
(2)   First re-inspection fee
50.00 (additional)
(3)   Second re-inspection fee
50.00 (additional)
(4)   Third re-inspection fee
50.00 (additional)
      (5)   If violations are not corrected after the third re-inspection, a citation will be issued.
   (c)   Fire Protection Systems.
      (1)   Testing of all fire protection systems will be witnessed and certified by the fire department (i.e. sprinkler systems, hood systems, extinguishing systems, halon systems, fire detection systems, etc.)
 
(2)   Inspection Certification Fee:
$25.00
               
   (d)   Application for Permits.
      (1)   Application for each permit required by the fire code shall be made to the local fire official on a form and in details as he may prescribe. Application for permits shall be accompanied by a plan or drawing as required by the fire official for evaluation of application. The fee for each permit shall be seventy-five dollars ($75.00) unless specifically indicated otherwise in the code. Permits shall be good for one year and must be renewed yearly unless specifically addressed in the Fire Code. The fire official may, at his discretion issue a permit good for up to three years. If the permit is issued for more than one year, the following fees shall apply:
 
A.   Two year permit:

B.   Three year permit:
225.00
   All permits shall be renewed on or before their expiration date.
      (2)   Schools, Churches and Public Buildings are exempt from permit fees listed in subsections (a), (b), (c) and (d) hereof, but are still required to obtain a permit. (Ord. 35-1997. Passed 1-27-98.)
