1305.10 RETAINING WALLS.

(a) All retaining walls shall be designed and engineered for the specific property being evaluated. A retaining wall is defined as a wall that is not laterally supported at the top, designed to resist lateral soil load.

(b) All design, construction, and grading methods shall be approved by the City Engineer prior to a building permit being issued. Design and construction methods for landscape feature walls shall not be subject to approval by the City Engineer where soil pressure is not an issue. (Ord. 8-2000. Passed 4-25-00.)
