173.08 REMOVAL OF MEMBERS.
   The Mayor shall have authority to recommend to Council the removal of any member of the Personnel Review Board by motion properly presented at a regular or special meeting of Council. Any member of the Personnel Review Board may be removed for gross misconduct, malfeasance in or disqualification for office, or for gross neglect of duty in office; or for the conviction while in the office of a crime involving moral turpitude, or if adjudicated by a Court of competent jurisdiction to be legally incompetent or for a violation of the oath of office or for persistent failure to abide in the rules of the Personnel Review Board, or if absent from three (3) consecutive regular meetings or hearings of the Personnel Review Board, without such absence being authorized by an affirmative vote of the remaining members of the Personnel Review Board and such other grounds as may be authorized by law. Notice of removal shall be served on the member of the Personnel Review Board in writing by regular mail, proof of mailing having been obtained by the Clerk, at least twenty (20) days in advance of a public hearing before Council upon such charge(s).
