The Mayor/Safety Director shall have all powers and duties connected with and incident to the governing of the Police Department, except the stationing of officers, which shall be under the control of the Chief of Police, but under such general rules and regulations as the Mayor/Safety Director may prescribe. The Mayor/Safety Director may further prescribe rules and regulations for the management, regulation and government of the department, and of its members. (Ord. 1997-16. Passed 5-13-98.)
