144.02 APPOINTMENT; COMPENSATION.

(a) The Mayor, subject to the confirmation of Council, shall appoint a Village Engineer. The Village Engineer is not required to be a resident of the Village.

(b) The rate at which the Village Engineer is to be compensated shall be established by Council pursuant to a separate salary ordinance or pursuant to separate contract.
