There is hereby created in the Department of Law, the position of prosecutor who shall be appointed by the Mayor and approved by a majority vote of Council. The Mayor has authority to appoint the Law Director as prosecutor. The prosecutor shall be responsible to the Law Director and Mayor. The prosecutor may be hired as an employee.
