(a) Every dwelling structure shall be provided with approved electrical service, outlets and fixtures which shall be installed and maintained so as to be free of any potential source of ignition of combustible material or electrical hazard. Such facilities shall be approved as being adequate to supply the requirements of lighting, appliances and equipment of the structure concerned.
(b) The size and usage of appliances and equipment shall serve as a basis for determining the need for additional facilities. Every dwelling shall be served by a main service that is not less than sixty amperes, three wires.
(c) Where is it found that the electrical system in a structure constitutes a hazard to the occupants or the structure by reason of inadequate service, improper fusing, insufficient outlets, improper wiring or installation, deterioration or damage, or for similar reasons, the Housing Manager and/or the Commissioner of Buildings shall require the defects to be corrected to eliminate the hazard.
(d) Every habitable space in a dwelling shall contain at least two separate and remote receptacle outlets. Every laundry area and bathroom shall contain at least one grounded-type receptacle.
