(a) Personal Property. Personal property belonging to the Village may be transferred to other departments or sold by the department head having management or supervision thereof in accordance with the provisions of this Chapter.
(b) Definitions. As used in this chapter:
(1) "Department head" means the Mayor, Clerk of Council, Law Director, Finance Director, Service Director, Fire Chief, Police Chief.
(2) "Surplus property" means any personal property owned by the Village which is not being used by the Village and for which the Village has no reasonable contemplated future use.
