(a) Fees. The Village shall charge each person to whom the Village provides emergency medical services a fee as set forth in Chapter 105.
(b) Billing Procedures. The Director of Finance and the Fire Chief of the Village are hereby authorized to establish the billing procedures for the provision of emergency medical services for all persons.
(c) Proceeds. Proceeds from emergency medical service fees shall be deposited in the Fire Department Fund and used for:
(1) The orderly operation of the Fire Department or
(2) To pay costs of providing buildings, apparatus, and equipment for the Fire Department operations in the City.
(d) Waiving of Fees. The Fire Chief may waive the aforesaid fee, or a portion thereof, when he/she finds and determines that the person receiving the services is indigent or otherwise unable to pay for such services and that there is no other source of payment thereof. Said waiver shall be in writing, signed by the Chief and with an explanation of the reason for the waiver.
(e) Effective Date. The fees charged under this chapter shall apply to emergency medical services provided to all persons on and after August 1, 2003.
