709.20 USE OF GUARDS AT LABOR DISPUTES AND STRIKES.
   (a)   Every person who contracts for or employs armed security guards, specifically for the purpose of protecting life or property, or both, during the course of a labor dispute or strike, shall promptly report the name, address, Social Security number and armed security guard identification number of each such guard to the Chief of Police, before permitting such guard to commence employment.
   (b)   No person subject to subsection (a) hereof, shall permit an armed security guard to leave the private premises, which he or she owns or over which he or she has possession of control, with a firearm during the course of a labor dispute or strike.
   (c)   No armed security guard hired for the purposes set forth in subsection (a) hereof shall leave the premises of his or her employer with a firearm during the course of a labor dispute or strike.
   (d)   No armed security guard shall, while working for and on behalf of another, either directly or under contract, discharge or use a firearm during the course of a labor dispute or strike involving his or her employer unless such guard is presented with a situation involving an imminent threat posing a substantial risk to his or her own life or that of another and he or she acts in defense of his or her life or that of another.
   (e)   Every person engaged in a labor dispute or strike involving his, her or its employees, who desires to protect life or property or both shall immediately request assistance from the Director of Public Safety.
