1315.03 ASSIGNMENT OF NUMBERS.
   The Village Administrator may assign to each building or part of a building, a street identification number by which such building or part thereof shall be known. The Village Administrator may consult with the local U.S. Postmaster as necessary regarding the assignment of street numbers. The Village Administrator shall have the authority to change any street identification number of any individual building or part thereof if such change is necessary for any reason. Whenever a new street is laid out, the Village Administrator shall assign to the land abutting the street appropriate numbers. When buildings fronting on such new street are completed for occupancy, the owner(s) thereof shall affix said numbers. Whenever new numbers are assigned to a building, the Village Administrator shall send the owner or owners a written notice informing them of the numbering or renumbering and directing them to affix to such premises the numerals indicating the number thereto assigned. If the Village Administrator determines that a building in the Village should have identification numbers affixed to it and it does not or that the numbers do not comply with this chapter, the Village Administrator shall send the owner or owners a written notice directing them to affix to such premises the numbers required by this chapter or to take the necessary steps for their numbers to comply with this chapter. It shall thereupon become the duty of the owner or owners to affix said numbers within thirty days after the sending of such notice.
