Any type of business or company is eligible to participate in this program as long as all of the eligibility requirements are satisfied. The Village will give priority to businesses engaging in manufacturing, distribution and providing services to the public. The Village Council, along with the Director/Assistant Director of the Defiance County Economic Development Office shall have the sole authority to determine which companies are eligible for the Village Jobs Tax Credit Program. The business or company, working in conjunction with the Defiance County Economic Development Office, shall submit a Village Jobs Tax Credit application package to the Mayor and Village Council.
