141.15 MEMBERSHIP IN RESCUE COMPANY.
   (a)   All members of the Rescue Company shall be certified in emergency medical training in such manner as may be required from time to time by the state.
   (b)   The Rescue Company may have as many members as the Chief of the Fire Department deems reasonably necessary to meet the needs of the Village for rescue operations. Any person desiring membership shall submit an application to the Chief of the Fire Department who shall approve or disapprove such application within fifteen days and notify the applicant in writing of his decision. Such applicant must have a physical examination prescribed for firemen before entering into his or her duties.
   (c)   Any person having only emergency medical training qualifications and not having fire fighting qualifications shall not be counted against the authorized strength of the Fire Department.
   (d)   No associate member of the Underwater Search and Recovery Company and/or Rescue Company shall operate any firefighting equipment or attend any fires unless they have completed the training required by the State to operate such firefighting equipment. This provision shall not be construed to prevent Rescue or Underwater Search and Recovery personnel from aiding firemen at the scene of fires by providing rescue services, or rendering such other assistance as may assist firemen without operating fire equipment.
