The Hiawatha Building Code is hereby amended by deleting Exceptions #1 and #2 in Section R403.1.4.1 of the International Residential Code, and replacing them with Exception #1 as follows: Exception #3 to remain unchanged.

Exception:

1. Frost protection of freestanding structures accessory to 1 and 2-family dwellings and with an eave height of 10 feet or less shall not be required.
