The purpose of this chapter is to provide for the examination, qualification and licensing of heating/cooling contractors, refrigeration contractors, comprehensive mechanical contractors, heating/cooling installers, and refrigeration systems installers; and the registration of the respective apprentice installers, in order to protect the public health, safety and welfare.
