A. Creation: There is hereby created the position of Police Sergeant. The Police Sergeant shall be hired by recommendation of the Chief of Police and with the advice and consent of the Board of Trustees.
B. Duties: The Police Sergeant, which shall be the rank immediately below the Chief of Police, shall be the immediate supervisor over all full-time police officers and the Police Corporal. The Police Sergeant shall carry out those lawful orders provided to him or her by the Chief of Police or by lawful orders of the Mayor to suppress disorder or keep the peace.
