The Budget Officer shall be appointed by the Mayor, with the advice and consent of the Board of Trustees. The appointment shall become effective commencing at the first regularly scheduled meeting following the general Municipal election for Mayor in the Village and shall be effective through and including the date of expiration of the term of Mayor unless said Budget Officer is removed by the Mayor or by resolution of the Board of Trustees, per State Statute, prior to that date.
