Building permits shall expire at the end of one year or as noted on the permit unless work has not begun within six (6) months of issuance or if work is suspended or abandoned, then building permits shall expire six (6) months from the date of issuance if work has not yet begun or six (6) months from the date that work is suspended or abandoned if the one year expiration period has not or will not have elapsed from the date of issuance at the expiration of the six (6) months. A six (6) month extension of a permit may be granted for an additional fee of fifty dollars ($50.00). (Ord. 2015-07, 2-5-2015)
