10-1-14: ACCESSIBILITY CODES:
   A.   There is hereby adopted by reference, for the purpose of establishing rules, standards, regulations and procedures required to allow a person with a physical disability to independently get to, enter, and use a site, facility, building or element, accessibility codes known as the Illinois accessibility code, which shall be the most current version published by the capital development board of the state of Illinois, with specific additions, deletions, insertions, modifications and amendments that may hereinafter be stated in this section (which said code, as so amended, is hereinafter referred to as the "IAC") and ICC/ANSI 117.1, known as the “Standard for Accessible and Usable Buildings and Facilities” (ICC A117.1 2017 edition), published by the International Code Council, with specific additions, deletions, insertions, modifications and amendments that may hereinafter be stated in this section. Not less than one copy of these codes, with any specified additions, deletions, insertions, modifications and amendments as provided for herein, has, for more than thirty (30) days prior to the adoption hereof, been filed and shall in the future be filed in the office of the village clerk of Heyworth.
   B.   The provisions of said codes are hereby adopted and incorporated as fully as if set out at length and shall be controlling in regard to all buildings, materials, equipment, property and structures within the jurisdiction of the village of Heyworth.
