10-1-13: ELECTRICAL CODE:
   A.   There is hereby adopted by reference, for the purpose of establishing rules, standards, regulations and procedures for the installation of electrical conductors, equipment, and raceways; signaling and communications conductors, equipment, and raceways; and optical fiber cables and raceways for the following: 1) public and private premises, including buildings, structures, mobile homes, recreational vehicles, and floating buildings; 2) yards, lots, parking lots, carnivals, and industrial substations; 3) installation of conductors and equipment that connect to the supply of electricity; and 4) installations used by the electric utility, such as office buildings, warehouses, garages, machine shops, and recreational buildings, that are not an integral part of a generating plant, substation, or control center, an electrical code known as the national electrical code, 2008 edition, published by the National Fire Protection Association, with specific additions, deletions, insertions, modifications and amendments that may hereinafter be stated in this section (which said code, as so amended, is hereinafter referred to as the "NEC"). Not less than one copy of the NEC, with any specified additions, deletions, insertions, modifications and amendments as provided for herein, has, for more than thirty (30) days prior to the adoption hereof, been filed and shall in the future be filed in the office of the village clerk of Heyworth.
   B.   The provisions of said code are hereby adopted and incorporated as fully as if set out at length and shall be controlling in regard to all buildings, materials, equipment, property and structures within the jurisdiction of the village of Heyworth. (Ord. 2010-36, 9-20-2010)
