A. Weekly Collection: The Village shall collect from the business and residential areas of the Village all garbage placed in appropriate containers, bulk materials and white goods as herein provided, not less than once each week.
B. Bi-Weekly Collection: The Village shall collect from residential properties only all recyclable materials placed in appropriate containers bi-weekly (every other week) at the times set forth by the Village.
C. Garbage Haulers: No person shall engage in collecting or removing garbage within the Village except by the express authorization of the Village Board of Trustees, and it shall be unlawful for any person to interfere with, hinder or obstruct the removal of garbage by any person authorized to do so.
D. Restrictions On Paint, Varnish And Stain Cans: Paint, varnish, stain, or other paintlike materials in liquid form will not be collected by garbage haulers of the Village unless the paint and other liquids are completely dried. To completely dry the paint or other liquids, the lid must be removed from the can, and kitty litter or sand must be mixed in the can until the liquid becomes completely dried. Once the paint or other like liquid is completely dried, the can may be placed in the garbage receptacle for collection. (Ord. 2019-22, 4-18-2019)
