9-5-1: DEFINITIONS:
For the purpose of this chapter, the following words and terms shall have the meanings ascribed to them in this section:
BULK MATERIALS: Includes couches, stuffed chairs, bed mattresses and such other material as authorized by the garbage hauler of the Village.
GARBAGE: Includes all animal and vegetable refuse, all tin cans, wastepaper or like materials, receptacles which have held any animal or vegetable matter, broken crockery, glassware or utensils and other like materials, or items defined as "garbage and debris" and "rubbish and trash" by the Solid Waste Disposal District Act 1 .
GARBAGE HAULER(S): The company contracted by the Village to perform garbage and recycling collection for all residential and commercial properties within the Village.
RECYCLABLE MATERIALS: Includes aluminum cans, trays and foil; aseptic packaging and gable top containers (milk and juice cartons); steel cans and tins; newspaper, magazines and other paper products; cardboard boxes; glass containers, plastic containers and like materials; and such other material as authorized by the garbage hauler of the Village.
WHITE GOODS: Includes stoves, washers, dryers, furnaces, hot water heaters, and such other material as authorized by the garbage hauler of the Village. Freezers, refrigerators and such other appliances that utilize freon are not considered and not collected with other white goods. (Ord. 2019-22, 4-18-2019)
