9-3-4: EXTENSION OF PUBLIC SEWERS:
   A.   Extensions Required: All property owners requesting new sewer service connections to property in the future must, at their expense, construct a public sewer according to specifications as set forth in subsection B of this section. Such sewer pipe must be extended on a public right-of-way or public easement which is adjacent to the property to be served, and unless otherwise provided by the Village Board shall, in every case, be extended across the entire property line which fronts on the public right- of-way or public easement.    B.   Size And Construction Details: The size of the sewer to be built shall be determined by the Village Board, but in no case shall it be less than eight inches (8") in diameter. All extensions to the public sewer shall be made with vitrified clay pipe conforming to ASTM C-700 extra strength. Joints shall conform to specifications as set out under subsection 9-3-3C3 of this chapter. Manholes shall be constructed at each change in direction (horizontal and/or vertical) and not more than four hundred feet (400') apart on straight sewers. Construction methods shall be in accordance with the "Standard Specifications for Water and Sewer Main Construction in Illinois", third edition, adopted by the Village Board and on file in the Office of the Superintendent. All construction shall be subject to the inspection by the Superintendent or other designated representatives. (1981 Code § 6-5-46)
