A. General Requirements: Anyone desiring to use or operate a sound amplification device beyond the limits stated in this chapter must submit an application, to be approved by the Village**** Board of Trustees at its second regularly scheduled meeting after receipt of the application for a sound amplification permit. Each permit is only valid during the times specified in the permit. Each permittee shall comply with all the terms of this chapter and shall be responsible for ensuring that the sound amplifying device is used or operated in accordance herewith. The application for permit shall state and include the following: (Ord. 2016-33, 9-1-2016)
1. The person(s), business, corporation or entity requesting the permit; and
2. The reason, purpose or event for which the permit is requested; and
3. The dates and times the sound amplifying device will be used or operated; and
4. Whether live or recorded sound will be amplified; and
5. If live, the names and addresses of the performers shall be provided.
B. Terms Of Permit:
1. The permit shall only be in effect during the hours of ten o'clock (10:00) A.M. to eleven o'clock (11:00) P.M. local time, Sunday through Thursday, and ten o'clock (10:00) A.M. to twelve o'clock (12:00) midnight, Friday and Saturday.
2. The sound amplification device shall not produce loud and raucous sounds greater than one hundred feet (100') from the device.
3. The permit shall not allow loud and raucous sounds within fifty feet (50') of a school or church during the hours they are in session or within fifty feet (50') of a hospital or nursing home. (Ord. 2008-34, 10-6-2008)
