6-5-1: NOISE VIOLATIONS; EXEMPTIONS:
   A.   Violations:
      1.   It shall be unlawful to use or operate a sound amplifying device so that the device produces loud and raucous sounds at a distance greater than fifty feet (50') from said device unless one has obtained a permit to do so from the Village Board of Trustees. (Ord. 2016-33, 9-1-2016)
      2.   It shall be unlawful to use or operate a sound amplifying device in a motor vehicle which can be heard from seventy five feet (75') or more from the outside of the vehicle when the vehicle is being operated or parked upon a highway or public street or public property, unless said device is being operated to request assistance or warn of a hazardous situation.
   B.   Exemptions: This chapter shall not apply when there is a publicly held government function or event, to authorized emergency vehicles, or antitheft devices. (Ord. 2008-34, 10-6-2008)
