6-3-4: ALCOHOL OFFENSES:
   A.   Open Container; Possession Or Consumption On Public Ways: It shall be unlawful for any person to have any alcoholic beverage in an open container in his/her possession or consume any alcoholic beverage on any street, highway, sidewalk or any other public property or public way in any Nonresidential Zoning District of the Village except when expressly permitted by ordinance or resolution of the Village. Any person violating the provisions of this subsection shall be fined not less than fifty dollars ($50.00) nor more than seven hundred fifty dollars ($750.00) for each offense 1 .
   B.   Purchase, Possession, Consumption By Minors:
      1.   Prohibitions:
         a.   It shall be unlawful for any person under the age of twenty one (21) years to purchase or accept a gift of alcoholic liquor or have alcoholic liquor in his or her possession.
         b.   It shall be unlawful for any person under the age of twenty one (21) years to consume alcoholic liquor.
      2.   Exception: The possession and dispensing or consumption by a minor of alcoholic liquor in the performance of a religious service or ceremony or the consumption by a minor under the direct supervision and approval of the parents or parent of such minor in the privacy of a home is not prohibited by this subsection.
      3.   Penalties: Any person violating the provisions of this section shall be fined not less than one hundred dollars ($100.00) nor more than seven hundred fifty dollars ($750.00) for the first offense. Any person violating the provisions of this subsection for a second time shall be fined not less than two hundred fifty dollars ($250.00) nor more than seven hundred fifty dollars ($750.00) 2 .
