6-1-7: POWERS OF POLICE RETAINED:

Nothing contained in this chapter shall be construed to impair the powers contained in this code giving powers to the police, but shall be construed together with existing ordinances now in effect for the safety and welfare of the citizens of the village. (1981 Code § 3-9)
