The Planning Commission shall have all of the powers set forth in the statute referenced in this Code and as set forth in 65 Illinois Compiled Statutes 5/11-12-5. No official comprehensive plan or official map, or all or any part of the area within the purview of the commission, shall be adopted by the Board of Trustees until notice and a public hearing has been held. All public hearings shall require not less than fifteen (15) days' notice of the proposed hearing by publication in a newspaper of general circulation in the Village. Proposals of the commission are advisory only until adopted by ordinance of the Village Board of Trustees. (Ord. 2016-42, 10-20-2016)
