2-2-2: COMMUNITY BASED COMMITTEES:
   A.   Creation; Dissolution: The mayor, with the advice and consent of the board of trustees, may, by ordinance, create or dissolve any community based committees deemed necessary and in the best interests of the village.
   B.   Appointment; Chair: The mayor, with the advice and consent of the board of trustees, shall appoint the members of community based committees which shall consist of community leaders. The number of members of each community based committee shall be determined on a case by case basis. The community based committee members shall designate a chair of that committee at the first meeting held by that committee.
   C.   Authority And Duties: Community based committees shall coordinate all state and federal economic programs that are applicable to the village except where otherwise prohibited by federal law or any other authority prescribed by ordinance.
   D.   Meetings: Each community based committee shall hold such public meetings as may be necessary to attend to all matters referred to such committee. The time and place of all public meetings shall be determined by the chair of each community based committee. Special meetings of each community based committee may be called at any time by the chair or any two (2) members of each community based committee. Public notice of committee meetings shall be given in accordance with the open meetings act. (Ord. 2009-34, 4-6-2009)
