There is hereby created the Park and Recreation Advisory Committee which shall consist of seven (7) members appointed by the Mayor with the advice and consent of the Board of Trustees. The terms of office of the members of the Park and Recreation Advisory Committee members first appointed shall serve terms as follows: three (3) members shall be appointed for two (2) years, and three (3) members shall be appointed for three (3) years. Thereafter, appointments shall be for three (3) year terms. Any vacancy shall be filled by appointment of the Mayor with the advice and consent of the Board of Trustees for the remainder of the unexpired term. One member of the Committee shall be the chair of the Parks and Recreation Committee, or its successor committee, of the Village Board of Trustees. All members shall be residents of the Village of Heyworth. (Ord. 2023-22, 4-20-2023)
