1-9I-3: EMPLOYMENT POLICIES:
The position of Superintendent of Streets and Drainage shall be subject to the following employment policies, subject to amendment from time to time by the Board of Trustees. The Superintendent of Streets and Drainage shall:
   A.   At the time of appointment, have all relevant details of employment stated in the resolution of consent for hire by the Board of Trustees that are not specifically provided for in this chapter, in the employee handbook, or any policies and practices heretofore or hereinafter adopted by the Board of Trustees;
   B.   During the term of office with the Village, accept no other employment without the express permission of the Mayor and Board of Trustees, and shall dedicate such time and effort as may be necessary to discharge all of the duties and responsibilities of the position;
   C.   Devote not less than forty (40) hours per calendar week to such employment and shall be available and accessible for receiving emergency calls after normal business hours from the Mayor, members of the Board of Trustees, Chief of Police and heads of other departments of the Village to provide assistance, services, supervision and information regarding urgent circumstances which may arise during such period;
   D.   Attend such continuing education, professional development and related educational conferences, seminars and programs which are directly related to the discharge of the duties of the Superintendent of Streets and Drainage and shall be reimbursed by the Village at an amount not to exceed one thousand dollars ($1,000.00) per fiscal year or such amount provided for in the Village budget, whichever is less;
   E.   Receive such disability, health, dental and life insurance benefits as may be provided to all other full time employees of the Village; and
   F.   Be credited for such vacation, sick and personal time as is provided to all other full time employees of the Village, and as such may be amended from time to time by the Board of Trustees. (Ord. 2015-39, 8-20-2015)
