All actions brought to enforce any fine, imprisonment, penalty or forfeiture under this Code or other ordinances of the Village shall be brought in the corporate name of the Village as plaintiff. No prosecution, recovery, conviction, or acquittal for a violation of any provision of this Code or any other ordinance of the Village shall constitute a defense to any prosecution of the same party for any other violation of the same provision of this Code or same ordinance or any other Code provision or ordinance, although the different causes of action existed at the same time, and if united, would not have exceeded the jurisdiction of the court.
